  1. Break Up Space With A Border – Another great way to use custom vinyl lettering is to use it as a border.  Whether you choose a graphic type lettering kit, such as flowers, vines, or shapes, or have a border made of words, one thing is for certain – the border will bring a certain charm to the room that you could have never imagined.  Whether you put a border around the top of a childs room (using the words of a favorite children’s song), or put a grape vine border around the chair rail in the dining room, your border is sure to be a hit.
  2. Words That Inspire – You can create the atmosphere you want in any room with a custom quote on one of the walls. Signs & Banners — While vinyl lettering is great for home decor inside the home, it can also be used to create banners and signs as well.  You can order vinyl banners online, and add vinyl lettering to them to create a very nice banner.  We did this for our son’s baseball team after they won the state championship. You should have seen my son’s face to come back from the state tournament to a congratulatory banner hanging in the front yard (I think he still has it hanging in his room).  Also, we’ve used vinyl lettering to create nice garage sale signs on foam board.  They’re durable, don’t get blown away like poster board does, and stand up to the elements.  As you can see, what you can achieve with vinyl lettering is only limited by your own creativity
  5. Give Them Something To Look At — Another great use for vinyl lettering in home decor is by using wall lettering to accent a photo wall.  Few things break up a cluster of photos, and draw the eye to them as does a beautiful quote about family, friends, etc.  Most manufacturers have pre-designed quotes specifically intended for this purpose, but you can always get creative and design your own.  The only limit to what you can do with vinyl lettering is that imposed by your own creativity.

One option for adding some appeal to the walls of a nursery or child’s room is to add their name to the wall using wall letters.  Letters that spell a child’s name look great above a crib, dresser, or bookshelf, and they also make a great gift.  When adding wall letters there are a couple of options for making this happen. You can either use wooden letters, or vinyl lettering to to make your wall words.

Wooden Wall Letters

Wooden wall letters come in all shapes and sizes, so you have a number of options here.  they can either be solid wood, or a MDF composite material.  Either way, you’ll usually need to paint them, or add some decorative paper to them using modge podge, or glue. Or, they can be painted in pastel colors for a baby’s room, or vibrant colors for a child or teen’s room.  Some of the benefits of doing it with wooden letters is that you get the 3-D look.  However, your options for creativity are less with this method.  On the other hand, you could use vinyl wall lettering.

Vinyl Letters

Vinyl letters are another way to add wall letters to the walls of a child’s room.  While you don’t get the 3D look, there are some definite advantages to doing it this way.  First, you can tap into your creativity more by getting custom vinyl lettering made to suit your exact need, size, and color.  Also, you get a nice hand painted look that’s much more intricate than what are offered by wood wall letters. You can choose your custom wall words to either feature your childs name, or a favorite poem, etc.  They can also feature cute graphics, and vinyl wall lettering kits make great room boarders as well.

Did you know that the average person spends 1/3 of their life sleeping?  Given such, it’s only fitting that the room in which we spend one third of our lives deserves a little bit more attention when it comes to decorating than most of us give it.  Most people who are aware of their surroundings make an effort to choose stylish bedroom accents, however many features of the bedroom decor go neglected.  The floor, and walls, for example, is one place that few people spend any time on when decorating.

There is no reason in the world why you can’t incorporate your bedroom floor into your overall bedroom décor, and in doing so give yourself a truly unique room. Bedrooms, above all, should suggest comfort and luxury. Scattering some floor pillows around your bedroom will add to the opulent look suggested by your bedding and bed pillows. Don’t feel as if you’re doomed to failure simply because you lack training in interior design. There are plenty of simple and affordable ways for you enhance not only the appearance, but the “feel” of your bedroom.
